I had a dream when I was 8 years old that I wanted to play on the LPGA Tour and I am beyond grateful and proud of the fact that I can say I achieved my dream.

The problem is I never thought to readjust that dream as my golf career progressed and create an even bigger dream. I may have thought it in my mind but eventually, I grew to a state of just wishing it would happen for me.

Finish in top 10
Win a tourney
Finish top 30 on the money list
Make Solheim Cup
Rookie of the Year
Play in Evian and British Open
Etc…

I never made the effort to get out there and actually make it happen! I was stuck in the effort it took to get there and never readjusted the plan to do more.

Dreams and goals are great but neither matter if you aren’t willing to do everything in your power to make them happen!

And once you do, are you willing to work harder to achieve an even bigger goal or dream?

Maybe your dream was to play at a DI school and you’ve achieved that by committing to a DI school? Maybe it was to play at a particular school that has great academics? Now it’s time to create a new dream.

First start small with goals for your freshman year as top priority. Then keep some bigger dreams written down that you want to achieve throughout your whole college career.

Be realistic but also make sure they are dreams and goals that are going to push you to have to work hard and get better.

Your freshman year maybe 1 or even 2 years away but the time is NOW to start working towards those goals. Once you step foot on campus your fall season will fly by in a flash so if you want to achieve those goals you better start getting ready now!
