As an uncommitted 2025 recruit more than likely you have played tournaments all summer, kept coaches up to date, maybe had some phone calls with them, maybe even been given some offers, taken some visits and now you are wondering what to do next. This is a part of the process that does get very specific to each individual recruit and their situation but I want to share a few thoughts to guide you.

As you head into the start of senior year I’m sure some anxiety has set in as you near the end of the process and hopefully make your decision soon. If you are receiving offers make sure you don’t rush your decision. Consider all of your options, ask plenty of questions, and draw up a comparison list. Keep in mind, rarely does a recruit get all of their wants and compromises typically have to be made.

Yes, scholarships may have a degree of negotiability, but you have to approach that in the right manner. And remember that academic money is just as good as athletic money so don’t get caught up in what “type” of money you are being offered.

If you haven’t taken a visit where you are able to meet the team and spend some time with them then I suggest doing that before you make your final decision. This interaction can greatly influence your feelings about the team culture.

If you don’t have any current offers don’t stress, there is still time left! Keep working hard on your game, expand your current college list, plan some academic visits, and try to connect with the coach beforehand, if you feel you are really lost then don’t hesitate to reach out for help! But don’t give up!
