Now that the excitement of September 1st has worn off a bit I want to take the time to address a few things that you can learn from the communication you received (or didn't receive) on September 1st and how it can be a lesson for your own communication with the coaches. I'm sure many of you have heard the saying that "you're only as strong as your weakest link". Well, the same applies for your golf game. In order to become a complete player, you must identify your weaknesses and practice them. It's human nature to want to practice the things you are good at instead of the things you struggle with the most. I caught myself facing this same issue early in my professional career. My college boyfriend was a good golfer and came out to caddy for me during a tournament. He noticed that most of my missed shots and bogeys were with my longer irons.
