Join RecruitPKB College Consultant Brandi Jackson for a One-Day Game Assessment & RecruitPKB College Recruiting Workshop on Monday, February 15th, following the Rocket Tour Players at University of Georgia Golf Course. The workshop will be conducted at the UGA Collegiate Golf facilities and the schedule will include:
- 8:30-9:00: Check In
- 9:00-10:00: Game Planning for 2016 Session (parents asked to attend): Small group discussion of tournament scheduling, travel tips, navigating the rankings, goal setting, time management
- 10:00-11:30: Short Game Assessment: Calculated measuring system to determine a player’s current short game ability and provide a trackable chart for improvement with recommendations
- 11:30-12:00: Goal setting session: Girls will complete a specific goal setting exercise and have the opportunity to build their own vision board
- 12:00-12:30: Lunch
- 12:30-1:00: Golf Nutrition and Fitness: Understand the importance of proper nutrition on and off the golf course, plus some general golf specific exercises and warm up routines
- 1:00-2:30: Understanding How to Practice with a Purpose: Learn to practice like a college player with efficient and effective short game drills, range drills and on course games to develop better work ethic and practice habits
- 2:30-3:00: Tournament Golf: Pre and post tournament exercises and learning how to manage your emotions on the golf course
- 3:00-4:00: College Recruiting 101 Discussion (parents asked to attend): Small group discussion to better understand how to effectively tackle the college recruiting process
The schedule may be adjusted due to weather. Parents are asked to attend the 9am morning session and the final afternoon session at 3pm. Parents may stay on the premises but we ask that girls only participate in the 10am-3pm sessions.
About Brandi: Brandi enters her 4th year as the College Consultant for the PKBGT. She runs her business Brandi Jackson Golf in Greenville, SC and provides guidance to female golfers all over the country. Brandi is a graduate of Furman University where she majored in Health and Exercise Science and was named a NGCA All-American and inducted into the Furman Athletic Hall of Fame. She played on the LPGA and Symetra Tour for 8 years before beginning her career in college recruiting consulting. She is Level 1 TPI Certified. Her full bio can be accessed here.
